Rikou No Koibito: clock setting shortcut

While Rikou No Koibito was covered numerous times on YouTube, I failed to find a clear answer to how to set up the clock again, after the game starts. So here it is, hopefully easy to find by anyone who also owns this rare pet (and I hope someday Google will show my posts higher so the info is easier to find).

If your dating sim has the inaccurate clock issue (running too fast), here's the trick:

On this screen press
Esc and Enter simultaneously.

On the default main character screen press Esc and Enter at the same time and hold them for about 1 to 2 seconds. You should hear a beep and you will be automatically taken to the clock screen, which is now paused. Press Enter to adjust the time, and the rest follows same formula as when starting a new game.

There, now you don't have to quit the gameplay because of the inaccurate clock.

Fossil League [DS] p.1 - Gameplay & Story

Contents:

Around early 2019 I played a rather obscure Nintendo DS game released in the West in 2007 (according to the Fandom Wiki), similar in gameplay to Pokemon. It was Fossil League: Dino Tournament Championship (Jap: 恐竜王者決定戦 恐竜グランプリ). Yeah, the full title is quite long. It was developed by MTO (in 2006) and localized by D3Publisher of America. Any other information is really scarce on the Internet, but MTO's website still has a page for this game (link). And it looks like they have yet another, and even more obscure, DS dinosaur game in their record... Hmmm, tempting.

But anyway! About 7 months have passed since I played Fossil League, and it's time to write about it, till I still remember what it was about. This post will focus more on the gameplay elements and the plot. The next one will be about the dinosaurs themselves.

Some screenshots were taken during my original DS playthrough, while others were taken via DS emulator to supplement the text.

Fossil League box art: Japanese and Western (US). Shows a quite change from the Japanese release, doesn't it?
I enjoy the clipart quality.

Gyaoppi II spritesheet & hotkeys

In late 2018 I did a research about Gyaoppi II. While I haven't come into a good conclusion, regarding its growth requirements, nor my research is fully completed yet (as I planned cover more pets), I managed to get all of the 10 forms of the dinosaur in Gyaoppi II. Originally I wanted to include the spritesheet in a fully-fledged post, however my time is limited (and these pets takes a bit to grow).

Maybe someday I will be able to do a proper comparison, but as for now, let's share the complete spritesheet of Gyaoppi II. And the useful button combinations too - not widely known (or so it seems) on the internet.

Love Chu 2: the most exhaustive guide

Exuse the small text! Feel free to adjust the zoom level of your browser. The guide is best read in pdf form, so if you ever need it, contact me and I'll share it with you.

Love Chu & Love Chu 2 manuals

(Extract from the guide, for easy access!)

Manual summary. Lovechu1 has only rice as a food option; the hungry meter exists as a bowl of rice in the Status screen; its cardbox has „mandarins”written on it (instead of emotions of Lovechu2's); It doesn't sulk in the cardbox either (it still won't perform some activities the player asks it to do); Its current Mood is written in words, rather than being displayed as the face icon. There are some other minor gameplay/UI differences (which were improved in Lovechu 2).

Love Chu 2 Table & Tips!

Here's an extract from my Love Chu 2 guide for easy access!

All the important information you need to grow your Lovechu collected in one place. Download the files for full view. More info can be read in the Love Chu 2 guide!

Follow this table to get the specific character.

A growth chart with important age marks.

Spritesheet I created. Maybe someone will find that useful.

Note: Both Chyorochu and Debuchu use theirs front sprites in the walking animation (hence I repeated them on the sheet). They both have the usual side-facing walking sprites, however. One is shown while they are eating, another one while they are dancing.
